How do I speak (audio) with the bot?

🎤 To use your microphone to speak with the bot

💡
Your browser will need to be granted permissions to use the microphone
  1. Click the 🎤 microphone icon to the left of the chat input box to start recording
  2. Speak your message to the bot
  3. Click the 🎤 microphone icon again to stop recording

🔈To hear the bot’s responses as audio

  1. Click the 🔇 speaker icon in the chat header to enable Audio-only mode
  2. When the bot replies, it’s messages will automatically playback as audio

Note:

  • To reveal bot’s message as text: Hover over the bot’s message and click the 💬 chat icon to show the bot’s message
  • To repeat the bot’s latest audio: Click the 🔈 icon next to the bot’s latest message
  • To disable Audio-only mode: Click the 🔈 speaker icon in the chat header again to disable Audio-only mode

Browser permissions

Desktop

Chrome:

  1. Click the slider switch icon in the address bar
  2. Ensure the Microphone toggle is enabled

  1. Click the slider switch icon in the address bar
  2. Ensure Microphone is set to Allowed

Safari:

  1. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Microphone
  2. Set the rehearsable site to "Allow"

Edge:

  1. Click the 🔒 lock icon in the address bar
  2. Set Microphone permissions to "Allow"

Mobile

Chrome (Android):

  1. Tap the 🔒 lock icon next to the URL
  2. Tap "Permissions"
  3. Toggle Microphone to "Allow"
  4. Refresh the page

Safari (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Go to Settings > Safari > Camera & Microphone
  2. Ensure "Ask" or "Allow" is selected
  3. For site-specific: Long press the address bar > Website Settings > Microphone > Allow

Mac

  1. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone
  2. Ensure your browser is enabled
  3. Go to Apple menu > System Settings > Sound > Input tab
  4. Ensure the correct microphone is selected
  5. Test your microphone

Windows

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone
  2. Ensure "Microphone access" is On
  3. Make sure your browser app has microphone access
  4. Go to Settings > System > Sound > Input > Test your microphone

iPhone/iPad:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone
  • Ensure your browser is enabled

Android:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > [Browser] > Permissions > Microphone
  • Ensure permission is granted

Still having issues?

  • Refresh your browser - At first, try a simple refresh of the page
  • Check your internet connection - Poor connectivity can cause audio features to fail
  • Try a different browser - Some browsers handle audio permissions differently
  • Restart your browser - Close all tabs and reopen
  • Check for browser updates - Outdated browsers may have audio compatibility issues
  • Test with headphones - This can help isolate microphone/speaker issues
